Privacy Policy

YYC Jobs (yycjobs.app) is an independent job board serving the Calgary, Alberta area. We are not affiliated with any employer, recruiter, or staffing agency.

What we collect depends on how you use the site:

• Job alert emails: if you sign up for email alerts, we store your email address along with the category, job titles, and frequency (daily or weekly) you chose, so we know what to send you. You can unsubscribe at any time from a link in every alert email, which removes you from future sends immediately.
• Contact form: if you email us through the contact form, your message and email address are sent directly to our email inbox so we can reply. They are not stored in our database.
• Job reports: if you report a listing as expired or incorrect, we store which job and why, never anything that identifies you.
• Save Job / Applied tracking: stored only in your browser's local storage. We never see this data at all.
• Usage data: pages visited, search queries, and general analytics via Google Analytics. This is aggregated and used to understand how people use the site, not to identify individuals.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, device type). This sets a small number of cookies used only for that purpose. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising, and we don't currently run any ads on the site. If that changes, this policy will be updated. See Google's privacy policy for details on how Google handles this data.

Some course links on our Training page are affiliate links. When you click one, you pass through the partner's tracking service (Impact) before reaching the course site (Udemy), which may set its own cookies to credit us for the referral. YYC Jobs doesn't set these cookies or receive any personal information about you from them. If you buy a course, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Job listings on YYC Jobs are sourced from publicly available employer career pages. We do not collect resumes, applications, or personal information from job seekers. When you click Apply, you are directed to the employer's own website.

• Google Analytics: site usage analytics
• Supabase: database hosting (job, company, and subscriber data)
• Vercel: hosting and deployment
• Resend: sends job alert and contact form emails
• logo.dev: company logo lookup by domain
• Cloudflare Turnstile: spam protection on the contact form
• Google Workspace: our email inbox, where contact form messages are received
• Impact / Udemy: affiliate link tracking on the Training page
• Google Maps: the location map on job pages (loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies)

Job listings are automatically archived after 30 days. Job alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Standard server logs are retained for 30 days.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. If you're subscribed to email alerts, you can unsubscribe yourself at any time using the link in any alert email. For anything else, or if you'd like a copy of what we hold, contact us at the address below.
