Your Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in both the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and the Women’s Health Clinic, providing high-quality, patient-centred care across two specialized clinical areas. In the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU), the Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care in a critical and highly specialized environment. The PACU RN demonstrates strong organizational and prioritization skills, functions autonomously, and acts as the primary care provider for patients recovering from anesthesia. The RN applies advanced technical skills and sound clinical judgment while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health care team. In the Women’s Health Clinic, the Registered Nurse is an integral part of the interdisciplinary Women’s Health Clinic team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and ensuring abortion services are delivered safely, compassionately, and with patient-centered support. The RN provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care throughout the perioperative process, including pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative phases, and ensures patients are appropriately prepared and discharged. The ideal candidate is a self-directed nurse, whose practice is guided by the principles of inter-professional practice and patient centered care. A pro-choice stance is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working across both acute and clinic-based environments.
