What's new on YYC Jobs
October 24, 2026
A lot has changed behind the scenes lately, and some of it you'll actually notice. Here's the short version.
You can post a job for free
If you're hiring in Calgary, head to /post and add your listing. It costs nothing. We read every post before it goes live, mostly to keep spam and sketchy offers out, so give it a little time. You'll get an email when it's up, plus a link in case you need to fix a typo later. One rule we're strict about: no multi-level marketing.
Company pages tell you more
Click through to a company and you'll now see the jobs they've hired for before and the pay they usually list. It's a quick way to know what you're walking into before you spend an hour on a cover letter.
Pay shows up more often
Some employers list pay every two weeks, and some label it in their own odd way. We got better at reading those, so more listings now show a salary you can actually compare.
Fewer junk listings
Not everything that shows up online as a job is a job. We now filter out the stuff that isn't, along with titles that make no sense. And when a job closes, the page says so, instead of leaving an Apply button that goes nowhere.
More Calgary employers
The City of Calgary and the public school board are in now, along with more companies hiring in Calgary or remotely.
A new look
We gave YYC Jobs its own colors and a Calgary skyline, so it isn't just a copy of our Edmonton site.
